Fair Oaks music ministry enriches our worship as well as many other aspects of the life of our church. Led by the Chancel Choir, organ, children’s choirs, bell choirs and other instruments, we worship God through the beauty of His gifts of music.
The Chancel Choir sings primarily at the 11:00 a.m. service on most Sundays during the program year, rehearsing on Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Taking pride in flexibility, the choir sings Renaissance sacred music and spirituals with equal deference to style. For the past few years the choir has presented an Advent Cantata during worship, accompanied by an ensemble of professionals and/or talented musicians from the congregation.
The Women’s Choir and the Men’s Choir each sing on a given Sunday. Members of the congregation not able to make a long-term commitment can join these choirs, and/or the Chancel Choir for special Sundays during the year.
A recent addition to the music ministry is the Adult Bell Choir,
which rings for both services on a given Sunday.
Special Music is a significant part of worship, especially at the 8:30 service and during the summer. Congregants of all ages share their gifts.
Logos Music Ministry
Groups are woven into the fabric of Fair Oaks. They each participate in worship on four Sundays during the program year, culminating in a collective celebration on Logos Sunday.
