Greening of the Sanctuary
Volunteer to Decorate the Church for Advent! Advent begins on Dec. 1 and following Fair Oaks tradition, we are gathering on Sun., Nov. 24, from 12-4 pm to prepare the church for this special season. Mid High Christmas Party
The annual Mid High Christmas party is set for Sun., Dec. 15, 5-6:30 pm at the church. Bring a white elephant gift (handmade, recycled or less than $5).
Help Fill Stockings for The Night Ministry
This Sun., Nov. 17, stay after the worship service to assemble holiday stockings for individuals supported by The Night Ministry. FOPC is supplying the contents (first aid, hygiene, etc.) Join us in spreading holiday cheer. Click here to learn more about the Night Ministry.
2024 Holiday Gift Tree for New Moms and Infant Welfare Society
With the holiday season fast approaching, Fair Oaks’ Gift Tree will be set up Nov. 17 with gift tags for two local organizations: the Infant Welfare Society Children’s Clinic Coat Drive and New Moms Operation Santa. The gift collection for New Moms will be conducted online again this year. The gift tags include the website information for the New Moms Gift Registry on Amazon. Fall Feast
Join your church friends for the annual Fall Feast on Sun., Nov. 17, from 5 pm-7 pm in Fellowship Hall. There will be fun activities for adults and kids of all ages plus it will be an opportunity to simply share fellowship. Each family is asked to bring a dish to serve eight. Thursday Morning Bible Study
The weekly class meets Thursday mornings from 9:30-10:30 in the parlor or on the patio weather permitting. All are welcome. They’re reading The First Advent in Palestine: Reversals, Resistance, and the Ongoing Complexity of Hope by Kelley Nikondeha. Fair Oaks Artisan Market Update
The third Fair Oaks Artisan Market was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who helped support the market by volunteering to help, attending and shopping, buying raffle tickets, and helping to spread the word. We are grateful to have raised approximately $5500 for our charities, and we loved how it brought our community together on a beautiful day. Stay tuned! We hope to have another market in two or three years!
Book Group
One of Fair Oaks’ many adult gathering opportunities is the Book Group, which generally meets at 7 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month during the program year. The group selects both fiction and non-fiction works that aspire to offer insights into our faith and meets in homes to allow for more relaxed fellowship.
