Senior High Mission Trip
This year’s Senior High Mission Trip (SHMT) is heading to Atlanta, Georgia, the week of July 18-25! The SHMT is the most anticipated week of the year for many of our students. We travel to a different part of the country each year and spend a week building relationships, learning about a new community, and volunteering our time. More info
Parents’ Time Out (PTO)
Calling all parents of K-12 students! Our next PTO is set for Fri., Feb. 28. Join us from 6-8 pm for pizza and socializing. Come make connections with other FOPC parents and have some fun. Babysitting for young children will be provided on site by FOPC senior high youth. A $20 contribution covers babysitting and beverages. Email the office for location.
Thursday Morning Bible Study
We’ll begin discussing The Last Week by Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan on Feb. 27. Our weekly class meets on Thursdays, from 9:30-10:30 am, in the parlor. All are welcome. Registration Open for LOGOS Summer Camp
Children entering Kindergarten through graduating 5th grade are invited to our week-long day camp at Fair Oaks, June 9-13, 8 am-5 pm. This summer we are beginning a voluntary tiered-pricing structure from $100 to $300 for the week, and scholarships are still available. Children will bring their lunch, and the church will provide snacks.
Book Group
One of Fair Oaks’ many adult gathering opportunities is the Book Group, which generally meets at 7 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month during the program year. The group selects both fiction and non-fiction works that aspire to offer insights into our faith and meets in homes to allow for more relaxed fellowship. Winter Pickleball for Adults
Join Fair Oaks friends in the church gym at 9 am on Saturday mornings for a round of pickleball. Our court is (almost) regulation size, and beginners are welcome. There are plenty of extra paddles and balls, so no equipment is needed. We do need to know who is coming, so please email the church office to be added to TeamReach, the app through which we communicate to interested players.

Learning Edge Tutoring
Learning Edge Tutoring is looking for volunteer tutors Volunteer with Learning Edge on Monday nights at Fair Oaks! The program began in late September, and tutors are still needed. The program runs through the school year (holidays excluded). Learning Edge provides free one-to-one tutoring for students who primarily live in the Austin neighborhood.
