Parents of kids and teens, we hope you will join us as we gather to discuss the book Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have to Heal From by Meredith Miller.
This book is a compassion-filled guide that addresses so many of our questions about how to talk to our kids about God, Jesus, faith, and the Bible. Together we will explore how to be with our kids as they get to know God and discover if God can be trusted. This book is grounded in research, childhood development, Biblical context and intent, God-centered storytelling, and real-life. Whether you feel comfortable with opening the Bible and talking about faith with your kids or you feel intimidated, overwhelmed, or not sure where to start; you are welcome. Our hope is to create a safe space to reflect on our own experiences, to learn about approaches that are harmful and helpful, and to dream about the web of faith we want to weave in our unique family setting.
Nicole Scott will lead the group which will meet on Mondays, 8-9:30 pm, virtually, for
nine weeks, starting on Feb. 3. We ask that at least one partner attend most meeting
dates: 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/31, 4/7, 4/14 & 4/28. We’ll also be sure to find a time in there to gather in person for a meal. Please email office@fairoakspres.org if you’re interested in joining us for this study.
