Worship

When and Where

Sunday worship services at Fair Oaks begin at 10 am, and there are two ways you can join us: in the sanctuary or online. We’d be delighted to have you join us either way!

Online Worship Services: If you would like to join us virtually, our services are live-streamed in the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church YouTube Channel.

Childcare

Children are always welcome in worship at Fair Oaks! We also offer childcare for children under two years old in the nursery (Prayground) next to the Loft. In addition, the Loft overlooking the sanctuary is available for families to participate in worship while tending to their young children if they wish. Please see an usher to be directed to the Loft or the nursery if you would like to take advantage of these options.

Theology of Worship

While our hope is to worship God not just for a single hour a week but all week long and in all aspects of life, our intentional time together on Sunday mornings is, indeed, an essential part of our faith community. Our worship service is intellectually challenging, yet inviting at the same time. Relevant preaching, corporate prayer, time for individual meditation, and an excellent variety of music are hallmarks of our traditional Reformed liturgical style. The presence and participation of all age groups is important to us and enhances our communal worship experience. Members of the congregation serve regularly as worship leaders and liturgists.

In worship we remember the exciting truth that God is present not only in the world but also in our lives. As we respond in worship to God’s love and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, we are transformed and renewed by God’s Holy Spirit. In worship we offer ourselves to God in thanksgiving and are equipped for God’s service in the world. We invite you to come anytime as part of this faithful community.
